Race from Cairns to Port Douglas, via the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, finish your ultra-endurance Tropical North Queensland trail running adventure at the Iconic Port Douglas, Four Mile Beach. Visit some of Australia's most stunning virgin rainforest trails, spot an elusive Cassowary, enjoy the views, love the Crystal Cascades, conquer the climbs in the Kuranda Range, and enjoy your descent down the historic The Bump Track. You will complete your challenge, feeling like a hero, having to race against the elements, and then finally enjoy a well-earned post-race beer, under coconut palm trees on a beautiful beach. The Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra is Far North Queensland’s ultimate trail-ultra experience. The course is an International Trail Runners Association (ITRA) accredited event scoring high ITRA and UTMB points across the following events; CPTU120 - 4 ITRA/UTMB Points BTU Automatic Qualifying Event CPTU80 - 3 ITRA/UTMB Points BTU Automatic Qualifying Event CPTU40 - 2 ITRA/UTMB Points BTU Automatic Qualifying Event CPTU20 - 1 ITRA Point BTU Automatic Qualifying Event CPTU10 - Beach Smash BTU Automatic Qualifying Event This is the ultimate trail running experience. Bring your family along to see the sights of Kuranda on the Scenic Railway or Skyway, Habitat Wildlife Park. They've thought of everything, transfers from Cairns and Port Douglas to and from the start and finish line and back to the airport.
