Yellowbelly Track cycling route

The Yellowbelly Track is a tranquil 200km cycling route in Northern Victoria, following the Goulburn River from Echuca to Tallarook. Wherever possible the route follows river tracks, gravel roads and quiet local sealed roads to minimise vehicle traffic. As well as providing river vistas, the Yellowbelly Track passes through panoramic farmland, secluded National and Regional Parks with abundant birds and animals, and many small country towns with regular supplies of food and drink. Adjacent to Blair Street, this unsealed walking path goes through the red gum forest down to the Moama beach. Along the walk, look out for wildlife – especially around dawn and dusk – and see if you can spot any of the native bird species. Moama's Old Telegraph Station

Thought to have been built in the 1860's, the former telegraph station is one of Moama's oldest surviving buildings. Come and explore Old Moama, hear stories and celebrate Moama's history. River Captains Cottage

River Captains Cottage

Learn about about the families who gave it life and hear their stories. Come and visit a rare survivor: The Captain's Cottage (circa 1870) has been home to many families, all working in connection with the hustle and bustle of the river trade near Maiden's Stock Crossing. It was most likely the residence of the river boat captains during the later part of the nineteenth century. In 1983 the cottage was even used in the filming of the telemovie All the Rivers Run.
