Purple Hands Wines

When two good mates get together, one the Chief Winemaker with a major winery, the other with a passion for wine - the inevitable had to happen and Purple Hands Wines was created. Craig Stansborough and Mark Slade started Purple Hands in 2006 from humble beginnings. Just over a tonne of handpicked Shiraz was crushed and barrel fermented in Craig's shed making around 100 dozen. Then came the hard part - finding a name for their new wine brand. Our mission is to produce fruit-driven wines with elegance and texture that reflect the vineyards from which they are sourced. Artisans of the Barossa We are delighted to be part of Artisans of the Barossa. A group of like-minded producers with a common goal to protect and promote small batch, sub-regional winemaking. Our commitment to making inspirational wines that uphold the culture and traditions of Barossa. We make products that excite, inspire and delight our customers and each other. Tasting Room The Artisans of Barossa Wine Room is located 24 Vine Vale Rd, Tanunda SA 5352 in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Open for tastings from 11am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday.
