Adelaide Botanic Garden is an oasis in the cosmopolitan heart of the city, featuring beautifully-landscaped gardens, majestic avenues and stunning architecture. Spanning 50 hectares, the historic garden (opened in 1857) features some of Australia's finest plant collections.
It is currently showcasing an awe-inspiring exhibition of glass sculptures created by world renowned artist, Dale Chihuly. Called Chihuly in the Botanic Garden, the outdoor exhibition is free to experience during the day, and open until 29 April 2025. Ticketed events include the mesmerising Chihuly Nights, and In Full Colour: Dale Chihuly - an additional collection of works in the rainforest conservatory.
Other things to see include the magnificent Palm House, First Creek Wetland, the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion, the Museum of Economic Botany and the Bicentennial Conservatory.
Also visit the award-winning Rose Garden, which blooms from October - April.

The Diggers Garden Shop offers a wide range of seeds, gardening books and garden wares, and North Lodge gift shop sells a range of products from jewellery to art, candles and soaps.
