Esplanade Reserve is a large parkland area, identified by tall Norfolk Pines, in the centre of Fremantle between Fishing Boat Harbour, the West End precinct and the Cappuccino Strip.
You will also find Esplanade Youth Plaza, Tourist Wheel Fremantle, a playground area with swings and a large climbing frame.
The parkland is a popular place for families and visitors to relax in the sunshine, enjoy a picnic or take the kids to the playground. It’s been a place for community events, festivals, concerts and families since the early twentieth century when the land was reclaimed from the sea. The original foreshore line can be seen on Marine Terrace.
Esplanade Reserve is a short walk from Fremantle bus and train station.
