Beechworth Gold Gemstone and Gold Gallery is a family owned business, which started in 1998.
Beechworth Gold is housed in the beautiful former 'Bank of Victoria' built in 1861. During the gold rush of the 1850s all the gold discovered was assayed in the vault within the building.
As the former Bank of Victoria played such a significant role in the gold rush, the gold vault has been opened to the public. Working with The Burke Museum, Beechworth Gold holds small rolling exhibitions throughout the year. Come in and see the giant gold panner and famous gold horseshoes.
Did you know Beechworth is also known for its range of gemstones found in the rivers and streams? Beechworth Gold has huge range of gemstone specimens for sale and their amazing agate slice stained glass window is a must see.
You will also find in-store the largest range of handmade gemstone jewellery in Australia made on site by the Beechworth Gold Girls, local alluvial gold, Kalgoorlie solid gold nuggets, silver jewellery, Baltic amber, Australian Lightning Ridge opals, gemstone set solid gold jewellery, pearls and much much more.
