Take an off-the-beaten-track meander through the rolling hills of Stanley to a little family owned, regeneratively farmed heritage fruit orchard and berry grove. The two kilometres of berry canes offer a 'weak-at-the-knees' pick-your-own experience and the farmgate has over 80 varieties of apples throughout the five month harvest season and fresh garlic, jam, ice-cream, apple pies and their famous hot apple cider doughnuts made fresh to order from the "Dough Bros stand". The Black Barn Family also offer heritage apple trees for sale year round and a range of workshops and events throughout the year.
Black Barn Farm don't sell just any apples but heritage apples, many long forgotten with names such as Mutsu, Smoothee, King Cole, Five Crown and Cameo.
Carefully grown without the use of any artificial insecticides, herbicides or fungicides you can delight in knowing that your tree and juice abound in good fungi around its roots, and will produce strong healthy trees which are not compromised.
The events calendar changes every year and Trees does not have a strict timetable so be sure to check the website and socials to confirm season start/finish dates.
