Yack Creek Distillery was established in 2016 and the Micro Distillery has created award-winning whisky's, rums, brandy, vodka and gins that are produced using Australian ingredients which are brewed and distilled in-house.
Situated on the Yackandandah Creek the natural bushland provides an inviting and relaxing environment beyond the Cellar door.
The Epic mountain bike trail (linking Yackandandah to Beechworth) provides a beautiful walk or ride from the Yackandandah Township past the Gorge along the Yackandandah Creek leading onto the landscaped Distillery surrounds.
Family owned and operated, the Micro Distillery creates all spirits on-premise from Australian sourced grain and molasses and an orchard supplies the botanics and garnishes.
At the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards, Yack Creek Distillery were awarded the coveted Champion Victorian Distillery. 2020 and awarded five medals and two trophies with the Black Strap Rum 002 taking out the Champion Australian Micro Batch Spirit.
In 2022 Yack Creek Distillery were again awarded Champion Victorian Distiller at the Awards. Winning Gold for the Whisky, Silver for Apple Brandy, Rum and Gin.
Craft beer was added to the product line in 2021 including Ale’s, Bitters, IPA’s, Lagers and Stouts. Several beers are aged in ex whisky and rum barrels.
The distillery invite people to bring their own picnic or create your own platter from the selection of crackers, cheese, dips, olives, pastes and salami’s on offer.
