Coucals is a hillside garden of four acres that is landscaped using local sandstone. Exotic plants from temperate, tropical and sub-tropical climes have been integrated with the native gums and smaller trees.
A variety of gardens have been created at different levels to display the huge variety of plants forming garden rooms that are linked by meandering paths. Seating areas and gazebos allow visitors to sit and enjoy the ambience of the garden as well as the majestic views of the hills.
The garden is open to the public on certain days for charity or to groups by appointment
Orchids have been integrated into the garden to add colour and impact as well as adorn the courtyard area. In the courtyard, they grow under the five wisterias that flower at this time with the Soft Cane Dendrobiums.
