Indian Tadka restaurant at Augustine Heights weaves modern fusion into its traditional Indian cuisine.
Owner-chef Sid Tripathi and head chef Chandan Singh had notched up many years – including time in top-rated hotels overseas – before opening this popular Augustine Heights restaurant.
It’s a menu rippling with traditional authentic Indian dishes but also spiked with interesting options you won’t find anywhere else. One specialty is the crunchy eggplant chaat – a textural and pleasantly spiced dish with silken fried eggplant and chickpeas and a sauce of sweet dates and tamarind. Gluten-free fans are in luck – this is just one of several gluten-free options on the menu and there are dairy-free options too.
Chef Sid emphasises that everything put on a plate is made here from scratch. There are vast offerings of lamb, chicken, goat, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
Favourites of Indian cuisine such as Vindaloo, Rogan Josh, Korma and Madras curries are all featured.
And desserts get their own fusion twist – expect to find such unexpected creations as a creamy charcoal kulfi (icecream)!
Also good to know – Indian Tadka is BYO.
