Join a special artist talk with Dianne Firth to learn more about her exhibition, Poetry of the Lakes. Art inspired by poetry has a long tradition. For the Poetry of the Lakes exhibition poets will read their poems and textile artist Dianne Firth will talk about the way these poems inspired her work.
Dianne Firth is an artist, landscape architect and academic and is an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Centre for Creative and Cultural Research at the University of Canberra. The Australian environment and collaboration with other artists such as poets, provide a continuing source of inspiration for her minimalist layered and stitched textile art.
Firth exhibits regularly in juried exhibitions in Australia and internationally and has received numerous awards. Her work is held in major public and private collections.
