Ever cooked something and wondered what spice to put in your food, why, at what stage in the process and how to best prepare them for quality nutrition and flavour?
Keen to make some handmade goodies you can gift to others (or yourself!) for Christmas? Then this workshop is for you!
Spices have been used for thousands of years around the world and in Ayurveda as medicine. They can be used to increase the digestive properties of a meal as a way of removing impurities in the body and to cultivate balance. Each spice, fresh or ground, has a different quality. Your awareness of this can help you decide what you use, when and why.
Join Holistic Yoga Teacher Tracey Murray in the Mandala Studio kitchen to learn how to make spiced mixes, blends and combinations. Also, learn how they influence your mind. Take home some spicy goodies and simple information about how you can use spices for yourself and your family.
Bring a large mortar and pestle and some recycled jars. Food (spices) provided and other jars provided if needed.
