Holiday Drama Workshops with Canberra Youth Theatre

These school holidays, join Canberra Youth Theatre for fun-filled drama workshops for young artists in school years 1–6. In All Things Big and Small, dive into a world of wonder where big meets small in unexpected and magical ways! Inspired by Fern Gully, Billy and the Minpins, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, this holiday theatre workshop invites young performers to explore hidden realms and new perspectives. Through guided creative play and story development, participants will create a world where giants and tiny creatures collide, and build skills in confidence and storytelling. In Glimmer and Gloom, you'll dive deep into how lighting, shadows, and contrast bring stories to life on stage. Guided by a professional theatre director, young artists will create and perform an original theatrical work, experimenting with themes of light and darkness. Participants will also attend a live performance of Sea of Light at the Canberra Theatre Centre on Monday, gaining inspiration for their week of exploration.
