NICA is the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, a cross-country mountain bike program for anyone aged 12-17 years. There are no trials, no bench - everyone plays!
They are running a Try-It-Out day at Majura Pines, Canberra ACT.
Each session will be hosted by ride leaders, and last approximately 90 minutes, during which you will get to experience a taste of what NICA has to offer - from a beginner-friendly cross-country course to a skills challenge, a checkpoint scavenger hunt, and other fun engaging activities.
The only prerequisite is to be able to ride a bike. And don't worry if you don't have one - they will have a limited quantity of bikes (and helmets) that you can book when registering. Check for availability when registering.
Registrations open in early November and it's free to participate. Sign up for their "Stay Informed" news on the website to be among the first to know when you can register.
