In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to hand carve a beautiful wooden vase for dried flowers. You can choose from a variety of timbers and shapes to create your own unique piece. 2 Sessions will be held on 24 October from 9- 12pm ,or 1- 4pm.
Beginning with familiarising with timber grain and how best to work with the grain, you will learn how to use a carving knife and a drawknife as well as how to sand, burnish and oil your piece to achieve a great finished surface.
No experience is necessary.
All materials and tools will be provided for workshop use.
Closed in shoes to be worn.
Bring a picnic lunch to have in the garden or you can purchase food and drinks from Montville cafes and restaurants.
