The Rockingham Museum is situated in Rockingham and housed in an Art Deco building, the former Rockingham Road Board Building built in 1946/47. It was extended in 1988 to join the library building which became part of the museum building in 1999.
There are numerous displays throughout the museum depicting a variety of aspects of Rockingham's history. They are designed to educate and inform residents, visitors and children of the history of Rockingham and surrounding areas.
There is a local history library on site that not only covers Rockingham but also the state’s history. This can be accessed by members of the public for research purposes.
