Once a seaside 1930s art-deco cabaret hall on Cottesloe Beach, today - an Italian-inspired espresso bar and restaurant.
Il Lido (in Italian meaning literally “the beach”) draws on the site’s heritage as the original "Lido Cabaret" (which they now look after as their own little slice of Cottesloe history).
Built on an undying dedication, they are passionate about pasta, wine, coffee, cheese, surrounding culture and almost everything Italian in between! When you think of Italy, Il Lido is a vibrant slice of Cucina Povera by the enduring delight that is Cottesloe Beach.
Il Lido turns eating into dining. Espresso grab’n’go worth getting up for, spot-on pastries, dish-defining pasta, sneaky and/or cheeky aperitivo and a wine list that lives and breathes good taste.
The WA Good Food Guide is a celebration of all that is excellent in the Western Australian dining scene across all areas of cooking, entrepreneurship, wine, beer and service and this is what they have to say about Il Lido Italian Canteen, part of The Top 100 list - "A popular beachside spot for all-hours dining is backed by an extensive award-winning wine list, polished service and thoughtful Italian food."
