7 Cairns Marathon

In its third year, up to 3000 athletes from Queensland, interstate and overseas are expected to participate in the 7 Cairns Marathon and Community Run Festival. Scheduled for September 18, 2022, it is the first official run festival of its kind to be held in Cairns and is forecast to generate significant visitor activity to the region. The marathon festival features something for all ages with 2 kilometre, 5 kilometre, 10 kilometre, half (21.1 kilometre) and full (42.2 kilometre) marathon distances. The festival has a strong community focus, with Ronald McDonald House Charities the major beneficiary of the event.
