The Rotary FNQ Field Days are a project of the Rotary Clubs of Mareeba and Atherton, and has grown exponentially since its conception in the mid 1980's. It is the largest and most comprehensive display of agricultural equipment and associated products and services in the region, held bi-annually it brings together all members of this agriculturally diverse region with suppliers of services and equipment from near and far to meet the needs of this remote region.
This ensures promotion of Australian businesses to the remote domestic audience allowing them access to a focused marketplace not usually accessible outside of metropolitan areas, and is a major boost to the local economy.
The lengthy history and consistency of the bi-annual Rotary FNQ Field Days and its benefit to the region is recognised as an integral part of the community and has the full support of businesses, the agricultural sector and other service organisations who acknowledge and welcome its benefits for the whole of the region.
The support from the community - businesses, service clubs and sponsors - is simply astounding. Without this support and the foresight and passion of the Rotarians who have been involved in delivering the event for more than two decades, the event would not have evolved into what it is today, and into the future.
