GUTS Dance x Ashleigh Musk
SUB brings together an incredible team of artists in this experimental contemporary dance work. SUB blends the body, sound, objects and lighting to imagine a future world where humans have burrowed underground to live. The pressure is building, the earth is restless and we are tunnelling into soil and stone. In this underground world, we come into contact with precious materials, we respect and give life to junk-like objects, we care for each other and the environment. SUB is a place of opposites – from wet to dry, hot to cold, soft to strong. We go up to go down, we go across to go in, the inhabitants attempt to navigate this always changing underground space which attracts and scares us- we engage with the terror and volatility of the living natural world.
