Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Concertmaster Yamen Saadi, with his priceless Stradivari that belonged to Fritz Kreisler, is coming to Australia exclusively to perform for Live at Yours. He will be playing masterworks by Kreisler and Grieg's romantic Sonata No.3 with his duo partner, beloved Australian concert pianist Simon Tedeschi.
As a soloist, Saadi has performed with orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. Despite his young age, Saadi has already performed across the globe in recital and concerto.
Yamen Saadi plays the 1734 ‘Lord Amherst of Hackney’ Stradivari violin, previously owned by Austrian-born American violinist and composer Fritz Kreisler, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest violinists of all time. Both the violin, and the Jacob Euy bow which Saadi uses, are generously loaned to him by Stephan Jansen, on behalf of a member of the Stretton Society.
Simon Tedeschi is one of Australia’s most renowned classical pianists, and is the recipient of many prestigious music prizes. He has performed in major concert halls and for festivals throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, and for world leaders including former US President George W. Bush and the Dalai Lama.
