Pier One’s new Pool by Pier Bar lets you board a floating pontoon, one fitted out with deck chairs, pool lounges and an esky that can be filled with luxury Champagne or a simple lager. While you’re lounging in the sun or prepping for a swim, you can order a classic cocktail, platter of oysters or prawns or a plate of fish tacos and fries to match whatever you’re drinking. On the side of the pontoon is a netted harbour pool, meaning you can dive off the pontoon without a worry. The pontoon is free entry, but a group of ten or more people can book the pool and deck privately.
