The Counihan Gallery is a dynamic contemporary art space located in the heart of Brunswick, in Melbourne's inner north known for its creative enterprises, food and cafe culture, music venues and the famous Sydney Road shopping strip.
The gallery's exhibition program draws inspiration from its namesake, the artist Noel Counihan (1913 - 1986), who is well known for his social and political commentary, activism and vocal support for the downtrodden and for free speech.
