The Albert Jacka Commemoration is an annual service. Albert Jacka was a former Mayor of the City of St Kilda and the first Australian recipient of the Victorian Cross, for serving in World War 1.
This event commences at the St Kilda Cemetery at 2pm, followed by refreshments in the St Kilda Town Hall Auditorium at 3pm. Guests are asked to meet at the Dandenong Road gates to the cemetery by 1:50pm to march to the gravesite promptly at 2pm.
If people wish to lay a wreath of their own, please advise in advance.
