Helen and Joey Cellar Door is located in their sleek new venue, Re’em Yarra Valley.
The bright and airy cellar door is a fabulous setting for swilling and sipping through the estate grown and made wines.
For those wanting to experience the inner-workings of the winery more intimately, the downstairs tasting room will allow all to sample Helen & Joey’s handmade premium wine amongst the impressive oak barrels.
Descending the art deco staircase, guests are greeted by a garden of ferns and custom-design art installation, from Melbourne glass-artist Mark Douglas, which leads on to the 12-seat private tasting room.
Helen and Joey Estate have produced wines from their Spring Lane vineyard since 2012. Initially, all wines were made by contract at other sites. From the 2015 harvest, they started making wine on-site in a very small micro-winery they built at the back of the old cellar, a converted farm machinery shed. They were able to process about a quarter of our grape production, with the rest still being sent off-site. This all changed with the construction of their new purpose-built facility, completed for the 2022 harvest.
