Hindmarsh Falls are located 18 km from Victor Harbor on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. Experience the beauty of the Hindmarsh Falls and be surrounded by nature.
The falls are best viewed in Winter and Spring and after a heavy rainfall. Enjoy a short undulating walk of about 100 metres down some stairs, to the lookout.
As you descend to the lookout the roar of the waterfall will surround you and the birdsong will delight you. It’s a totally different world.
From here view the Hindmarsh Falls, as the water cascades over numerous pools. The falls are fed by the Hindmarsh River catchment area between Mt Cone and Spring Mount and flows down through Victor Harbor and out to sea via the Hindmarsh Estuary.
In Summer make the most of a grassed picnic area which has wooden tables and bench style seating. The Hindmarsh River meanders through with plenty of shady trees along the banks. The open string bark forest with closed scrubland understory is a popular area for birdwatching and bird watchers will be excited by the variety of species found there.
Take a moment for yourself and the family, to relax and reconnect with nature.
