The Yankalilla District Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of Yankalilla and surrounding districts, from the earliest European settlement to the indigenous heritage preceding it.
The museum carries an extensive collection of historical artifacts, photographs, and documents showcasing various facets of the region's past, including agriculture, mining, shipping, transport, and personal family records.
Open seven days a week, the museum can be accessed through the Fleurieu Coast Visitor Information Centre. School and bus groups are welcome, as the museum offers guided tours led by knowledgeable volunteers. Established in 1987, the museum operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers.
