Tim Watson and Tim Wild are the founders, talented voices and songwriters behind the Australian rock band Taxiride, which achieved international fame.
Watson and Wild began writing together for what would become Taxiride in late 1995, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances and powerful vocals. Very few bands can claim to have had the impact Taxiride had in Australia and internationally.
With multi-platinum chart-topping albums, an ARIA Award and seven top 40 hit singles, including “Get Set’, “Everywhere You Go”, “Creepin’ Up Slowly”, "Can You Feel" and “How I Got This Way”. Worldwide tours throughout the US, Europe, Japan, India, and Australia, including the 24/7 Tina Turner Tour, culminating with two sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Alongside long-time members Sean McLeod and Andy McIvor who have been recording and performing with the band since 1997 and 1998 respectively, Watson and Wild have formed Taxiride featuring Tim Watson, Tim Wild, Sean McLeod, Andy McIvor, and Ripley Smith, who are now one of Australia’s most sought-after bands.
Watson and Wild made a significant impact in 1999 as co-lead vocalists on Taxiride's mega-hit "Get Set" (written by Tim Wild). They went on to release a series of hits, including "Everywhere You Go" (Written by Tim Wild and Tim Watson) and 2002's most-played song on Australian radio, "Creepin’ Up Slowly" (Written by Taxiride, Dow Brain and Brad Young).
