If you’re Thai or a regular CBD partygoer, you’ve probably heard of the Campbell Street Capitol Square arcade and @ Bangkok. As both the geographic centre of Sydney’s Thaitown and one of the few late-night eating spots in the CBD, the arcade is a bustling snack centre and @ Bangkok one of its busiest venues. As well as its past midnight menu, the Thai restaurant is famous for being a pre- and post-theatre spot, and for not pulling punches on its vast and boldly flavour menu. Dropping by without a clue what to order? The papaya salads, fried chicken and fried rice have the right level of heat and verve to suit the local Thai community and to jolt any late-night party people into a second wind.
