Located in the heart of Pyrmont, Nativo is a Mexican Taqueria founded by Chef Manuel Diaz. Nativo offers traditional Mexican food and honours the native cultures and traditions of Mexico and Australia by bringing them together to create extraordinary creations inspired by ancient ingredients and stories.
The menu puts a twist on familiar Mexican dishes. Try a taco filled with slow cooked pulled pork, pickled onions and saltbush morita salsa or Tasmanian octopus, chimichurri. confit onions and potato. The guacamole is brightened with a splash of lemon myrtle oil and vegans are well catered for with mushroom ‘chorizo’ options.
The team aim to make Nativo an outlet for ideas, development and research of native ingredients, recipes, techniques and philosophy so they can be a source of inspiration for upcoming generations.
