ANZAC Cottage was built by the community in one day in February 1916 as a memorial to those who fought at the Gallipoli landing and as a home for a returned wounded soldier from that conflict and his family.
The Cottage is now a museum, dedicated to telling this unique story and honouring the service of the men and women who have fought for Australia in battlefields far from home.
The National Trust of Western Australia opens ANZAC Cottage for pre-booked guided tours every second Wednesday of the month, please register to avoid disappointment.
The Friends of ANZAC Cottage Inc. will continue to host its annual iconic Sunset Services on ANZAC and Remembrance Days and acknowledge National War Animal Day on February 24 along with the anniversary of the Cottage’s construction on February 12.
